About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Vero Beach, Chill & Grill stands out as a true Southern and American gem, offering a vibrant takeout and dine-in experience that seamlessly blends comforting classics with inventive twists. This inviting restaurant, located conveniently on US-1, delivers a menu bursting with fresh, bold flavors that embody the spirit of Southern hospitality with a contemporary American flair.

From the very first bite, Chill & Grill’s dishes engage your palate with rich, soulful ingredients and masterful preparation. The Blackened Shrimp & Grits is a must-try — creamy, cheesy grits serve as the perfect canvas for plump shrimp blackened to perfection and draped in a luscious white wine garlic butter with spicy andouille sausage that lingers deliciously. Equally captivating is the Shrimp and Crab Cake Pasta, combining delicate seafood flavors with angel hair pasta tossed in a fragrant pesto lobster sauce. Each entrée, whether it be the hearty Braised Short Ribs melting over mashed potatoes, or the crispy and tangy Crispy Duck Wings, is a celebration of rich Southern and coastal influences executed with precision.

On the lighter side, the salads offer a refreshing balance to the indulgent mains. The Beet Salad, for instance, dazzles with crumbled goat cheese, bright Naval oranges, and a zesty mimosa vinaigrette that refreshes the palate beautifully. Even the well-loved Iceberg Wedge salad brings together the crunch of bacon and the creamy bite of blue cheese in a harmonious combination that invites indulgence while feeling satisfyingly fresh.

The atmosphere at Chill & Grill is warm and inviting — a casual yet refined setting where the attentive, knowledgeable staff make every guest feel at home. Guests consistently praise the friendly service, noting how well the team understands the menu and anticipates diners’ needs. Freshly baked warm bread arriving as a thoughtful starter sets the tone for a dining experience that honors comfort and quality in equal measure.

Desserts like the tangy Key Lime Pie and rich, velvety Peanut Butter Pie offer the perfect sweet finish, while other options like classic Cheesecake stand ready to satisfy any lingering cravings. For those seeking variety, the menu’s breadth ensures something for everyone, from the smoky indulgence of Smoked Brisket over Mac and Cheese to the elegant simplicity of Blackened Snapper.

Customers frequently highlight the exceptional value Chill & Grill provides, noting that the pricing is surprisingly affordable given the high caliber of the dishes and the meticulous attention to detail in preparation and presentation. The casual, character-filled ambiance combined with expertly crafted meals creates a memorable dining experience that guests return to again and again.

Whether you're stopping by for a cozy dinner or picking up a satisfying takeout meal, Chill & Grill promises a genuine taste of Southern soul food and American classics with a captivating coastal twist. It’s a remarkable culinary destination that engages all the senses and leaves you eager to come back and explore more of its flavorful offerings.

This was our first time going here, I was really hungry though so I forgot to take pics. 5 stars across the board. Our waitress was wonderful, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was cooked to perfection, our waitress brought us fresh warm bread while we waited and everything came out promptly and hot. You can definitely tell the ingredients were all fresh and presentation was great. I highly recommend the braised beef, we also got the chicken penne which was made with heirloom tomatoes in a light, savory sautéed garlic and onion sauce. Nice quiet atmosphere as well. We will certainly be dining here more often!

Fine dining food in a nice casual environment. Prices seemed a bit lower as compared to other restaurants offering the same excellent food. Menu at website/ blog is outdated. Open 6 days a week for 4 hours a day.

Had dinner at the bar with friendly and knowledgeable bartender who was the son of the owners of this family run restaurant. We started off with sharing a bowl of their speciality Sebastian Stew. It was so delicious and rich we could have had it as our meal. Loaded with seafood and very flavorful. For dinner I had the Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwich and my husband had the cheeseburger. Both were wonderful. I got to try the new Grateful Dead beer made by Dogfish Head. Fantastic! Can’t say enough about this little gem of a restaurant on a backroad in Vero/Sebastian! Lovely place!

They happened to be serving a ribeye special while I was in this area for work. Best ribeye I’ve had in a long time, from any restaurant. Great job. Nice environment, with a sort of coastal casual vibe as well. This place is definitely worth checking out
